Kentucky Receives 10th Consecutive Shovel Award for Economic Development
Area Development, a leading economic development trade magazine, recently named Kentucky a Silver Shovel Award recipient, ranking the commonwealth among the most successful states in creating jobs and securing investments in 2019. Kentucky claimed the award for the 3-to-5 million population category, marking the 10th consecutive year Kentucky has won a Shovel and the 11th time throughout the award’s 15-year history.
 
 
Cabinet Launches Webinar Series Exploring Kentucky by Industry and Region
CED Project Manager Annie Franklin on Tuesday gave the first in a series of monthly industry discussions, titled “Understanding Kentucky Target Markets,” with her presentation focusing on the agriculture and food & beverage industries. An audience of over 110 tuned in for the inaugural webinar. Future presentations will be scheduled the last Tuesday of each month. Keep an eye out for a save-the-date for August’s discussion.
